May Favourites

Hi everyone!
May is officially over so that means it's time for my May Favourites! Some of this month's products are new and some are old favourites. I hope you enjoy :)

Beauty Favourites:
1. NO Time To Shine Mask
Made by "Formula 10.0.6" this mask has been my beauty life saver this month. I love masks, especially that I have an issue of oily skin, so masks are perfect for me. I think there are 3 different types, you can get them in little sachets or in a tube like mine is.

Its an oil-absorbing, mud mask made of sea kelp and calendula.
"This shine-controlling mask contains kaolin clay and sea minerals to draw out and eliminate excess oil. Conditioning calendula and purifying sea kelp work together to balance and tone skin for ultimate clarity."
It comes in a 100mL tube which lasts a really long time. You simply apply it to your dry face after you've cleansed and let it dry for about 10-15 minutes until it's tough on your face. Then you wash it off and feel the freshness of your skin. It recommends you use it 1-3 times a week as it does strip down the oils off your face. The oils on your face are natural and for some people, stripping away the layer of protection oil on your face makes the oil worse.

2. Bubblegum Lip Scrub - Lush
What's a favourites post without a product from lush? I've had this product for quite a while after my friend gave it to me because she didn't use it, and for a while I didn't use it either. But now that I've started I can't stop! It's a delicious, sugary, pink scrub which I use before going to bed and before applying a thick layer of lip balm. It tasted like candy floss and am surprised I simply haven't eaten it.
If you don't have a big budget but want to buy something from lush (which is actually quite expensive in Australia) then I definitely recommend this little guy.

3. Garnier Pore Refining Toner - Shine Be Gone
Part of the moisture match line, I got the green coloured one, since I have oily skin. I was in need of a new toner since I used all of the one from my 'Proactive' set. I believe that proactive is quite good but quite pricey and I'm sure there are other good products out there that aren't as expensive. Everyone's skin is different though so it really depends and you just need to try different products to see what works for you.

This toner is excellent for oily skin. After cleansing and drying your face, use a cotton pad to apply it all over your face. Let it air dry and feel the freshness on your face.
"Purifies, tones & tightens pores. Detoxifying green tea & purifying moringa extracts."

4. TRESemmé Heat Tamer Protective Spray
This is a new product I got since I've been curling my hair a lot lately. I never used to use heat protectants because I use the cold option on my hair dryer and plat my hair over night for waves. But the curler I got is AMAZING (which I might do a review on).

This product seems to do what it says "styles and protects". My curls seem to stay in longer and my hair definitely isn't damaged. After washing my hair, it's back to its straight self and still silky smooth.

Random Favourite:
I went to my auntie's house the other day to celebrate my uncles birthday. And she told me that when I was moving to France (when I was 2) she found a ring in a toybox we had given her. She remembered my Grandma giving that to my mum. No offence to my mum, but she doesn't really think about these sort of things. Anyway, apparently is my great grandmother's ring! It's beautiful and I was thinking of bringing it in to a store to see what the cut it and how much it is (I'm not going to sell it). It too big for my finger though, but I enjoy it sitting on my shelf.

TV Favourite: Chuck
I only just started watching this show because some new friends introduced it to me. It's an old-ish TV show. Started in 2007 and finished in 2012. Although I'm still up to episode 4 of season 1, I am already hooked and loving it! So share this good ol'  TV show with your friends because I had NEVER heard of it. And I think it needs more recognition.

Music Favourite: "In The Lonely Hour"
My music favourite of this month is Sam Smith's new album "In The Lonely Hour". You've probably heard his song "Stay With Me" on the radio. I love the entire album that came out on the 23rd of May! It's full of catchy songs like "Money On My Mind" as well as soft songs like "Leave Your Lover". Sam Smith is an AMAZING singer and deserves more recognition as well.

Thank you so much for reading! Hope you had a lovely May, and enjoy your June!
